Yara Khoury

Yara Khoury is a full-time faculty member at the American University of Beirut in the graphic design department. She researches the history of Arabic typographic practices.Yara Khoury was the design director of AlMohtaraf, where she designed custom Arabic typefaces for publications and corporate identities for the past 20 years. She has authored a book on the mid-century Lebanese architect and type designer Nasri Khattar titled “Nasri Khattar; A Modernist Typotect”, published by Khatt Books.
