Francesco Franchi

Francesco Franchi is an Italian designer and journalist born in 1982. Since 2016 he has been managing editor and deputy creative director of Italian newspaper La Repubblica. For eight years he was the creative director of IL, the magazine of Il Sole 24 ORE, Italy’s leading financial daily. He published The Intelligent Lifestyle Magazine, Smart Editorial Design, Ideas and Journalism (Gestalten, 2016) and Designing News, Changing the world of editorial design and information graphics (Gestalten, 2013). During his career he has won many awards, including the D&AD, the SPD Awards, the European Design Awards and the Italian Compasso d'Oro Award.
