Alicia DeSantis

Alicia DeSantis is a Deputy Editor at the New York Times. She writes, produces, edits, art directs, designs and illustrates pieces for print, for web and for video. She is the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award, and has earned portfolio medals from both the Malofiej Society and from the Society of News Design. In the summer she teaches visual narrative at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She holds a Ph.D. in literature from Columbia University, where she wrote about the history of mental imagery.
