A redesign of Rome-based daily La Repubblica launched in November 2017. Managing editor Francesco Franchi and creative director Angelo Rinaldi, who headed up the project, will discuss their process with a particular focus on how the 3 new typefaces they commissioned were tailored to support their focus on clarity, modernity, and “looking to the past to go into the future.”
